Best things to do after visiting a coffeeshop

Wandering around Amsterdam after visiting a coffeeshop is one of the best things. To help you out, we made a list with things you can do.

1. Watch a movie at Rialto

Sit back, relax and enjoy the best art house movies. Rialto is a small movie theatre in Amsterdam South with three screen rooms and a cosy bar. Check out rialtofilm.nl for the latest info about their program. Want to watch a movie at home? Check out our ‘Best movies to watch on Netflix while high’.

2. Dinner at Bar BAUT

Bar BAUT is open every day for lunch, drinks and dinner. In the bar you can have an informal lunch, dine at high tables and have a drink. Would you rather have a more elaborate dinner? They also have a separate restaurant where you can enjoy a three or four course menu.

3. Stroll through the Vondelpark

Get some fresh air and stretch your legs in the Central Park of Amsterdam. Vondelpark is a big park in the middle of the city. Grab a hotdog, have coffee at VondelCS or drink a beer at Proeflokaal ‘t Blauwe Theehuis. Or just walk around and enjoy the park!

4. Visit the Rijksmuseum

Vermeer, Rembrandt, Van Gogh: discover the history of the Netherlands through the eyes of some of the greatest painters that ever lived. With hundreds of masterpieces the Rijksmuseum is one of the most extraordinary museums in the world. Tickets and more are available on rijksmuseum.nl.

5. Picnic in Beatrixpark

Looking for something to do outside? From Coffeeshop De Kade it is only a twenty minute walk to the Beatrixpark. It’s a quiet park outside the centre of the city and the perfect place to have a nice picnic on the grass next to one of the ponds.

6. Visit De Pijp

One of the hippest and most cosy neighbourhoods of Amsterdam. There are plenty of bars, restaurants and shops to keep you there for days.

7. Drinks at Tapmarin

Dutch songs, Heineken and ‘bitterballen’ guaranteed. At bar Tapmarin you will truly experience Dutch culture in the nightlife of Amsterdam. Open everyday from 4pm till late.

8. Edibles at Coffeeshop De kade

Since we’ re making a list, we might as well put ourselves on it. Don’t forget to take one of our delicious edibles to go on your walk. Our homemade Red Velvet, Oreo Brownie and much more food is waiting for you! Check out our edibles menu (or of course our weed menu).
