Cannabis & culture: A day in Amsterdam South

Do you want to explore the coolest part of Amsterdam while getting high at the same time? Check out these tips for the place to be in our capital: Amsterdam South!

Amsterdam South is one of the coolest parts of our beautiful city. Ok, sure, our coffeeshop is also located in this part of town and yeah - maybe we’re a bit biased. But we do mean it. Just spent a day in Amsterdam South, we’re sure you’ll love it too.

1. Coffeeshop De Kade

Start your day with a fresh cup of coffee and some high quality weed. At our coffeeshop, you can smoke inside (without tobacco) and we even offer delicious edibles (also gluten free options). You can find directions here!

2. Rijksmuseum

After a nice wake & bake at our coffeeshop, it’s time to begin your tour. While you still have enough energy, go to the most beautiful museum of our city: The Rijksmuseum. It’s full of Dutch history, with Rembrandt’s Nightwatch painting as an absolute high point. Check out Rijksmuseum.nl for info and tickets.

3. Sightseeing at PC Hooftstraat

One of the richest streets of Amsterdam is named PC Hooftstraat. So if you want to do some serious window shopping, enjoy some supercars and amaze at eccentric people, than PC Hooftstraat is where you want to go.

4. See a movie at Rialto

Rialto is a local theatre in the south of Amsterdam and offers really cool movies, mostly art house and old movies. The vibe is amazing and it’s the perfect spot to rest your feet for an hour or two. Check out rialto.nl for the latest films and showtimes.

5. Dinner & drinks in De Pijp

One of the most buzziest parts of Amsterdam South is De Pijp: an area full of bars and restaurants. The possibilities are endless, but we suggest pre dinner drinks at ARIE and a wonderful dinner at Café Caron. Not done afterwards? At De Tulp, people are always in for some late night drinks (and maybe a little dance).
