Everything you need to know about edibles

Edibles. Edibles. And… edibles! We love ‘m. Because, who doesn’t love to eat and get high at the same time? In this blog we’ll tell you everything you need to know about edibles in Amsterdam.

What are edibles?

Edibles are cannabis infused products in different forms. Basically anything you like can become an edible. Candy, chocolate, pizza? For sure. Edibles are consumed as food or drink and processed through your digestive system. That’s why it takes longer before you feel the effects.

Dosage and strength

Determining the right dosage is super important for an enjoyable experience. Start edibles with a low dosage - usually 5-10 mg of THC - especially if it is your first or one of your first times. Remember that edibles take longer to begin their effects: often up to two hours.

Choose the right edibles

There are countless options for edibles, from fancy chocolates to cocktails like marijuana mojitos. Always research the quality of the edibles and check product labels to understand THC and CBD content. It’s often a good idea to choose well-known brands so you can be a little more certain of the quality.

Patience is a virtue

Be patient when eating edibles. It may take some time before you feel anything. Wait at least two hours before you take more. Your metabolism, weight and tolerance all affect the effect. That’s why we always say: Start low, go slow.
