Stoner Travel Guide to Amsterdam

Amsterdam is a must-visit destination for any stoner looking to indulge in the coffeeshop culture. The city offers an experience that is unmatched by any other place in the world. In this blog, we will provide you with some tips and advice to make the most out of your vacation in Amsterdam.

Our guide will provide you with all the information you need to make the most of your trip. From researching the laws around cannabis in the city to finding the best local shops, museums, and cuisine, we’ve got you covered.

Research the Laws Around Cannabis in Amsterdam

Before embarking on your stoner vacation in Amsterdam, it is essential to research the laws and regulations around cannabis in the city. While the possession and use of cannabis are generally tolerated, there are still rules that need to be followed. For example, you are only allowed to possess a maximum of 5 grams of cannabis at any given time, and smoking in public places is prohibited. We explained more about this in another blog

Visit the (good) Coffeeshops

One of the main attractions for tourists in Amsterdam is ofcourse the numerous coffeeshops scattered throughout the city. These shops are licensed to sell cannabis products, and many also have a cozy lounge where you can sit, relax, and enjoy your smoke. Look beyond the touristy city center and find local places just outside. Check out their menu on Greenmeister, read reviews, and take a look at their social pages to make the best decision. When at the counter, always ask the budtender what you like, and what they would advise you. If you’re at a good coffeeshop, they will love to tell you about the different strains, and make you see and smell the product before you make a purchase.

Explore Amsterdam’s Museums and Galleries

Apart from its coffeeshops, Amsterdam is also home to a wide range of museums and galleries that offer a unique perspective on the city’s art, history, and culture. Some of the most popular museums include the Van Gogh Museum, the Rijksmuseum, and the Street Art museum. These museums are great places to visit, especially when you’re high.

Take a Canal Cruise

One of the best ways to see the city is by taking a canal cruise. These boat tours take you through the city’s waterways, allowing you to see Amsterdam from a different perspective. You can book private tours, or you can join one of the many group tours that depart throughout the day. There even is a smoke boat, to float and fly around the canals.

Sample the Local Cuisine

Don’t forget to try some of Amsterdam’s local cuisine such as fries with a croquette. And if you like sweet things, try some stroopwafels. For the adventurous, try raw herring. With all these munchies, Amsterdam is a perfect destination for a true stoner.

By following the tips above and doing some research before your trip, you can have an unforgettable experience in this unique and vibrant city.
