What is Thai Stick Weed?

Ever heard of Thai Stick weed? And do you want to know more about it? Read along and immerse yourself in a mystic new world - with a lot of history.

Thai Stick weed: what is it?

Thai Sticks are a traditional Thai way of preparing and packaging weed. They’re handmade joints that resemble a kind of cannabis cigar - but super flavorful. Using a wire or string on a bamboo stick, the weed is carefully wrapped around it.

Using the bamboo allows them to dry and develop a specific flavor with powerful effects. Once the weed is dry enough, it is wrapped in cannabis leaves and sometimes even dipped in hash oil for an extra touch.

Effect of Thai Sticks

Smoking Thai Sticks is slightly different from normal joints. Because it burns much slower, you can smoke for much longer, which makes it a lot more social. It is also quite strong, especially when the stick is dipped in hash oil. And because of the process of drying on a stick, the taste is also quite intense.

Background on Thai Sticks

Thai Sticks became popular in the 1960s and 1970s during the Vietnam War, when American soldiers in Southeast Asia first saw it. A combination of high quality Thai cannabis and the craftsmanship with which these sticks were made, made them really popular.
